Stop updates from pushing Defender definitions and drivers.
Windows Updates can silently re-enable Defender definitions and push driver changes that interfere with the permanent spoofer. Block them before continuing.

Extract the ZIP and run Wub_x64.exe as Administrator.

Select Disable Service and click Apply Now.

The status indicator should change to show updates are blocked.
Why block updates?
Windows Update can silently re-enable Defender and push driver updates that overwrite spoofed hardware identifiers, causing the spoofer to fail.
